Gateway laptops come with different ways for you to take a screenshot. The two most common types of screenshots for Gateway laptops are taking one using the keyboard, and taking one using the built-in tools. So which method should you use? Here’s what you need to know!

How to Take a Screenshot on a Gateway Laptop

  1. Go to the screen that you need to capture a photo of
  2. Press “Print Screen” on your keyboard — This will take a screenshot of your whole screen and save it as a .png file in the Pictures folder on your computer.
  3. Open an image editing software such as paint or gimp, and open the.png file
  4. You should now have a screenshot of the whole screen with everything in it

You can also use the following methods:

Press “Ctrl” + “Print Screen” — This will take a screenshot of your whole screen, just like the method above. However, this time it will save the screenshot as a jpg file to your desktop. It’s the same as above, except you now have a jpg file on your desktop instead of a png file.

Use your 3rd party tools – If you don’t like using the keyboard to take a screenshot, you can always use a 3rd party tool. There are many screenshot tools that will also allow you to take screenshots of your screen. Some 3rd party tools even have an option to save the screenshot as a.png or.jpeg file like the keyboard method.

Tools like Snagit, Screenshot Captor, and FastStone Capture are one of the most popular tools for this purpose.

To sum up, you need to understand the advantages and disadvantages of each method. Whether or not you need to use a 3rd party app or keyboard shortcut depends on your needs and how frequently you take screenshots. But ultimately, understanding what’s available on your specific laptop is what will make taking screenshots easier for you.
