How To Screenshot on a Lenovo Ideapad
Method 1 – Using the PrtScr Key
To Screenshot on your Lenovo Ideapad, you will need to press the PrtScr key. This is generally located on the top row of keys where you would find the F5 key.
1) To screenshot, simply press and hold down your desired area on the screen for just a split second.
2) When you lift the key, the screenshot will take place.
3) Open an image editing software
4) Paste the screenshot by either right-clicking on your mouse pad and select “paste” alternatively press [ctrl] + [v]
Method 2 – Using Snipping Tool
The Snippping Tool is a free software that can be downloaded to your computer from Windows 10 store. It is also available on almost all versions of windows (Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and 8.1).
1) Start Snipping Tool
2) Select your desired area on the screen by clicking on the scissors icon. Once you have selected your area, click the dropdown arrow next to it. This will show you a list of different shortcuts you can choose from.
3) Choose the type of screenshot you would like
4) Take a screenshot
4) Click on save in the top left corner.
5) The screenshot you have taken is now stored in an image file which you can then easily send to others.
Method 3 – Taking An Active Screenshot
This is the easiest and fastest method if you want to take a screenshot on your Lenovo Ideapad.
1) On your ideapad, press the [alt] + [PrtScr]
2) That screenshot will be saved automatically in your Pictures folder
3) Pick an image editing software to open the screenshot with
4) Paste the screenshot by either right-clicking on your mouse pad and select “paste” alternatively press [ctrl] + [v]
