2 Ways to Take Screenshots on an HP Laptop
Method 1
There are quite a few software applications that can assist us in capturing our laptop screen. Such an app is Snagit. With a user-friendly interface, Snagit is straightforward to use. It also offers other options besides taking screenshots, such as image editing, screen recording, etc. Now that we know what Snagit is, let us get to know how to capture our screen with it.
Firstly, we have to download the application. Once downloaded and install, we will open the Snagit Application. Now, if we look at the top of the screen, we can see a red circle button. We can use that to access the screenshot camera. We can press
that and choose how much of our window we want to capture. And then, we can use the editing tools to edit the photo and save it. Reference:
Method 2 – How to Take Screenshot Using Print Screen Key
Sometimes we end up needing to capture only the active window. HP has provided an option for that as well. We can do so by pressing a designated combination of buttons. We are going to press and hold down the alt key. We will keep holding it and press the Prt Sc key.
- Open the page you want to take a screenshot of
- Press the Print Screen [Prt Scr] Key on your Keyboard
- Open up an image editing software such us Paint
- Paste using [Ctrl] + [v] buttons on you keyboard
Doing so will record the active window on our system. It will be saved on our clipboard. Now we can open any image editing app like photoshop or paint. We can open a new image on the app and paste the captured window on it. If needed, we can use any of the editing features available on the app. After we are done, we can save it into any folder we please.
